Unable to get rid of the pop sound after I send a message in Snapchat on iPhone

Snapchap isn't an Apple product. You'd need to contact them to see if the sound can be altered or removed.

This was never an option, on Android you can just mute an app for any sounds

iOS seems to have worked this out for notifications, but doesn’t go beyond that

i can’t believe iOS doesn’t have controls over what apps do with system level functions like sounds.

just got an iPhone and these app level sounds are driving me insane. users should not have to mute the whole phone to mute an app

Unless you are talking about something else, that sound is actually a feature of the Snapchat app designed to provide you with an audible confirmation that your message has been successfully sent.

I don't use Snapchat currently, but I believe the following steps should disable this sound:

1. Launch the Snapchat app on your device.
2. Tap on your profile icon in the top-left corner of the screen to access your profile page. Then, tap on the gear icon in the top-right corner to enter the Settings menu.
3. Scroll down and find the "Notifications" section. Tap on it to open the notification settings.
4. Within the Notifications settings, locate the "Message Notifications" section. Here, you'll find options related to message notifications, including sounds.
5. Look for the option labeled "Sounds" or something similar. It's usually a toggle switch that you can turn on or off. Simply toggle the switch to the "Off" position to disable the pop sound.
6. After toggling off the sound, make sure to save your changes. This might involve tapping a "Save" or "Done" button in the top-right corner of the screen.

If it ever was an option, this no longer appears to be an option under “Notifications” in Snapchat.
