2009 McBook can I stream Apple

Hi, I have a refurbished 2009 MacBook, using Safari and a 2022 Asus Win 10 laptop, and a 2023 Toshiba Smart TV. I want to subscribe to Apple+ TV...but...on the Toshiba TV I get a "no connection" message [I double checked and I was connected], on the MacBook I clicked on the watch for free button but when the box popped up for Apple ID entry it skipped instantly to the "forgot your password" box. I have tried all of the pages on the Apple+ web site but no way to enter my Apple ID {I am set up on Apple Store} or confirm my desire to stream. I have watched the free 1st episodes so I know Apple TV is for me. It is very frustrating. I have subscribed to Amazon Prime; Paramount+; Acorn, Netflix easily and perfectly. Apple+ not. What gives? I am a UK resident, I do not have a VPN. maybe my TV and MacBook and Windows laptop are incompatible? I have a 'Clean my Mac' app I use regularly.

MacBook, macOS 10.13
