I have headphones I can wear at night while I sleep. They can play white noise via an app and bluetooth on my iPhone, but this is not what I want. Instead I want to set an alarm on my iPhone to ring over my headphones to wake me up and I want to set the volume so I don't wake my husband. How do I do this?

I confirm that the alarm does not play any sound through a Bluetooth headset no matter what settings are used. Instead, the alarm plays on the iPhone. When wearing headphones, the iPhone cannot be heard. The guidance provided does nothing to fix the problem, as others also note. This is lousy and should be fixed! Frustrated and disappointed. Do better Apple.

This is so true I have to wake up early to go to church every week and my dogs get woken up whenever I set alarms and then they start barking I can’t believe Apple has not fixed that we can’t connect alarms to headphones

It isn’t in Settings. It is an app on your iPhone. On your Home Screen, place your finger mid-screen (without touching any icon) and swipe down to reveal the search bar. Type shortcuts, or just shor, and the icon for the Shortcuts app should appear in the search results. You can open the app from there.
