It won’t let me put in my appleID password so then I can not text anybody please help


so I tap on the text box it would not give me the key board to type in the password.

"How to restart an iPad without a Home button

  • Press and hold either volume button and the top button until the power off slider appears.
  • Drag the slider, then wait 30 seconds for your device to turn off. If your device is frozen or unresponsive, force restart your device.
  • To turn your device back on, press and hold the top button until you see the Apple logo.

How to restart an iPad with a Home button

  • Press and hold the top button until the power off slider appears.
  • Drag the slider, then wait for 30 seconds for your device to turn off. If your device is frozen or unresponsive, force restart your device.
  • To turn your device back on, press and hold the top button until you see the Apple logo."

Once your iPad has fully restarted, please use the steps here to set up iMessage: Set up Messages on iPad - Apple Support

"Turn on iMessage

When you communicate with others using iMessage, you can use more apps and features, like read receipts, undo send, message editing, audio messages, collaboration, inline replies, and more.

  1. Go to Settings  > Messages, then turn on iMessage.
  2. To select the phone numbers and email addresses you want to use with iMessage, go to Settings > Messages > Send & Receive, then choose from the available options below “You can receive iMessages to and reply from.”"
