I can’t verified my capital one card one my Apple Pay

I am the account holder and there are no other users. I have a Capital One credit card which I have added to my apple wallet. I don't remember how I verified it but apparently it worked. I am now trying to add my debit card to the wallet and I can do that fine. However the last step is the verification. I launches my capital one mobile app and as soon as I try to do it, the app just crashes. There is a phone number option but when I tried it I just got automated message telling me I had to do the verification through the mobile app. I tried doing it online through a browser but I don't see apple wallet there. I event went to a Capital One cafe and spoke with the reps there but they could not help me either.....

There are many variables in this post with people trying to verify Authorized User accounts and other users being out of the country and still others using WiFi and having connectivity issues and on and on. The commonality is the card(s) are issued by Capital One.

If you want to explain the issue you’re having I’ll try and assist, but different issues have different solutions, obviously. 😀

Capital One just told me their cards no longer work with Apple pay.

Im not sure this is still a work around. I am the primary account holder and Im still unable to add a captial one debit or credit card to apple wallet

Thank you. This just worked for me! I had been trying to verify unsuccessfully for several weeks now. Can’t believe WiFi was the problem. lol.

My Capital One credit cards are verified, but not my debit. Thank you for that suggestion.

Identical situation !!! Not sure what a workaround is but is very annoying !

I use my capital one card every single day on Apple Pay. Someone at capital one is lying to you sir.

When I go into Profile->Digital Wallet Manager, only Google Pay and Paypal are listed. ApplePay is not one of the items.

I can’t seem to get it to work either, it said it would take a few minutes to verify but it’s been a few hours later.

Funnily enough my Capital One debit card works fine on it.

I didnt have issues adding on the iphone 13 but recently upgraded to iphone 16 and it cant verify through text or government ID. I get errors on both.
