Apple TV 4K 3rd generation eARC sound issues, no problems with Apple TV 4K 2nd generation

I have the Apple TV 4K 3rd generation with ethernet and 128 GB. I got a new tv and sound bar, LG 65OLED3CAUA and Sonos Arc. All of my devices work fine except for the Apple TV 3rd generation. Initially the Apple TV alone with the Sonos Arc works without problem but as soon as I add another device and switch HDMI input and then switch back to the Apple TV only content with Dolby Atmos plays but Dolby 5.1 and HD content have no sound. It doesn't matter what app or content. I also have an Apple TV 4K 2nd generation, 64 GB with ethernet and no problems. To get Dolby Atmos with Sonos Arc I must have eARC enabled on the LG TV and I can't turn off CEC because it immediately switches on again.

Here is a link to the Sonos community with all of the things I have tried:

For now I have switched the Apple TV 2nd gen to my new LG TV and Sonos Arc. It is disappointing that I can't use the Apple TV 4K 3rd generation. I'm hoping someone has figured this out.

Thanks.

I tried Peacock for an episode in Season 3. It played perfectly in 5.1. I checked for the HMDI settings but didn't see any option for auto only to change the output 4K which I had. But after playing with some of the sound setting in the TV. Guess what? My original issue with no sound on HULU returned. Seems that LG G2 TV, eArc connection, Sonos ARC and Apple TV have a complicated problem to solve.

I will be working to resolve the sound issue again.

Yes, you are correct about the article as I fully read it after I posted it HOWEVER simply search for the same question regarding eARC cable length and you will see that "pushing it" with a passive cable is when one exceeds 25' for eARC. I'd like to see anything that says 6' is "pushing it" WRT eARC. That would eliminate 90% of installs. That plus most every comment about this question on any of the major AV Forums say that using simple Amazon Basics high speed cables are fine for "normal" length eARC cable runs. All using these cables: https://www.monoprice.com/product?p_id=31231

In any case my setup is simple. 1 x 6' cable to SONOS 10" below the TV on wall from eARC HDMI port and 3 x 10' cables 1 each to Xfinity DVR, Apple TV box, & PS4. All 4 cables run down the 4 built in flush mount cable tracks on the back of the TV into a hole in the wall then down 2 feet into the back of the console below it. The cables have to run in the provided "tracks" or the set won't mount 99% flush to the wall "like a picture frame."
