issues with my Face ID

hello, I followed all the instructions regarding the faceID issue but it still does not work. the message that appears in my phone is : ''A problem was detected with the TrueDepth camera, Face ID has been disabled''


This issue started the next day I used my iphone 11Pro to take pictures and videos while I was close to a water fall. Could that be that water damaged my phone? it is supposed to be waterproof no? I did not submerge my phone in the water, I only took selfies and vidoes close to the falls.


for info, my phos is up to date. I cleaned my TrueDepth camera and retsrated my phone but it's still not working. Anybody has faced the same issue? thanks

An iPhone is not waterproof, it is water and dust resistant, and that can vary depending on the usage of the phone. I'm guessing you got moisture inside the TrueDepth camera and that is why it has stopped working


If Face ID isn't working for you, there is most likely something wrong with your TrueDepth camera. First, look at these two articles for help. If that doesn't fix the issue, then make an appointment at the Genius Bar to have your camera issue diagnosed.
