my phone screen is broken, and i need to back up my phone before activating the new one. but i cant press trust this computer on my phone screen when trying to back it you through my mac, because the screen is unusable. any other options?

Nope there is no other option, it's way too late to try and backup your device, it should be done on a regular basis.
