Thanks, Less.
the man at the Apple Store erased my phone and then sent me into account recovery. I had actually backed up my phone that day but the backup didn’t go through. I had changed my passcode and password, had a fight with my boyfriend, and the two completely slipped my mind…(I know what you just be thinking, but I also have a neurological issue that makes my brain come things away, ever to be found again.)That said, when I got back out of Account Recovery, the tech at Apple support said she didn’t understand why he sent me to acct rec when he had already wiped my phone e, had a copy of my sales receipt, my ID, etc. He never said it would be weeks oh! And that he encrypted all
oc my data in such a. Way that I need my OLD passcode- the one I cannot
recall- to access my iCloud messages and more. And my computer is the one I cannot sign into. It was going around and around in circles. But now it just says verification failed. I had this issue before, but it somehow got resolved then by signing out of iCloud on my phone and signing in and changing the PW on my computer. The problem with THAT old chestnut is that the iCloud still wants my old passcode to access everything I have yet to still finish setting up. I cannot access my Apple Pay funds- I cannot get into anything that was on iCloud Drive or drive itself. Why not just sign out then? It says that if I want to use another trusted device (aka my computer) to log back and reset my data encryption., That is fine, but I will lose anything Inhad saved before that was encryptedx My computer doesn’t recognize my iPhone when I tried using the Find Me app/ but it sent a signal to my phone and my phone got it- but my phone is factory reset-
so how is that even possible me? So, signing in on my iCloud on my computer to use it again as my trusted device hasn’t worked out at all. It’s a cruel world.
