Child’s screen time not updating on my phone.

Had the same problem, I was trying all kind of resets, nothing worked. Then I noticed a button saying ‘Devices’ on the right upper corner of the screen. When pushed it, it listed my child’s ID twice. When I changed the ID to the second one all the statistics showed up. Then I realised that she is also logged in on the ipad that she is not using and I was getting the statistics for the ipad not for the phone.

So, follow this steps:

Settings - Family - Choose child’s account - Screen time - See all app and websites activity - upper right corner push Devices and switch to the next device.

The fix I found was to stop monitoring my child’s screen time then to turn it back on.. you have to set it up again. The same app limits appeared but all the block at the end of limits were toggled to off so make sure you turn those back on. The screen time use appeared immediately right up to today.

ok so as one user above suggested the following button works!!

“Turn off the App and Website Activity” then switching it back on!

when you switch it off you lose the current data at top of the screen, but after switching back on and giving it a few minutes to sync the correct up-to-date data appears

The fix that worked for me “Turn Off App & Website Activity” and turn it back on.

Previously I had even tried a full reset and restore of both child devices which didn’t work.

I too have trying all the usual fixes eg check both updated etc

Eventually tried clearing safari history on both devices and seemed to work?

If you still need help, let us know if both devices are sharing the same Apple ID. When you refer to Screen Time updating, are you saying that you're unable to make changes for your child's device on your own in Settings > Screen Time > (Child Device)?

Same as Simon. It is working for one kid and not for the other. Only since the most recent iOS update. If I go into my phone to view my daughter’s screen time it also shows that the last updated data was over a week ago. However, if I scroll back to last week it shows data for yesterday. But will not update for todays data at all.

Clearly it’s already set up. I’m having the same problem. When I navigate to my family and the child’s account, then open screen time - it simply says 0 minutes. Last updated June 28. It WILL NOT update to today or show me any recent information whatsoever. We have restarted phones, synced, all updated. It simply will not load recent info. Please help!

Nothing but problems with this family restriction system, system not updating, app limits randomly not working, other restrictions not working, the ridiculous one more minute option. Time to jump ship from apple, everything has been going downhill for years.

Obviously FrustratedAppleUser21 has already configured screentime, so providing links to documents on how to do so is completely useless and a waste of a post.

Same issue here. Working for one kid, not working for the other. Similar "reset" steps taken but doesn't work.

Same problem here, other child phone is updating but others don’t for the current day.. I can see previous day data. Tried all the suggested fixes but no help. What to do?

I have the same problem and shutting off and on screen time activity didn’t work!

I tried this and clearing safari history and it still won’t work.

Does anyone have any other suggestions?
