National Car Rental App keeps crashing on iPhone 14 Pro with latest iOS updates.


Did the restart phone, delete and reinstall app, etc.

Troubleshooting Crashing Apps:

A. Start Here: If an App on your iPhone or iPad Stops Responding, Closes Unexpectedly, or won’t Open - Apple Support


B. Update the App:

Update contain bug fixes. So, see if there are any updates available for the app itself.


C. Close All Apps:

An app is accessing the camera. So, close all apps. Hold you finger down as you swipe up from the bottom-left corner, to the top-right corner. Then, close all of these open apps, by swiping up quickly for each app.


D. Reinstall the App:

Delete the app, then redownload the app.


E. Contact the Developer:

If having bugs, contact the app's Developer. You'll find their Contact Us info located in the app's site of the App Store.


F. Update your iPhone:

Use a Computer: The latest available update installed on your iPhone So, Force Restart your iPhone > Plug your iPhone in to a computer > and then update using the computer. Use my User Tip:  Update your iPhone Using a Computer - User Tip

  • IMPORTANT: If you have an option to update, however, then be certain you backup your iPhone first. That way, you will have something to restore your iPhone from should anything go wrong with the update

FIXED IT!!!


For all that are having the same issue. The below steps solved the problem.


I have finally solved the problem of the National Car Rental App crashing! After over a year of frustration and a ton of research, I finally got mine to work. Hope it helps the rest of you struggling with the same issue! 


***This may only work for iOS users in the USA (I’m not positive though)***


See below:


Settings > General > Language and Region


You will see “Preferred Languages” and on top you should see “English (iPhone Language)”


Press “Add Language…”


Go through the list and make sure you select “English (US)”



After you click on it, it will ask “Would you like to use English (US) as your primary language?”


Select “Use English (US)”


After much time spent digging through settings, forums, etc., it finally clicked for me as I was also getting an “Invalid Locale” error on the Enterprise app as well. Even though my primary language was set as “English”, the National App for some stupid reason needs to have “English (US)” and not just “English”. 


FINALLY IT IS SOLVED AND THE APP IS WORKING!!! 🥳🎉
