Homekit app Notifications

On my Homekit app network i have notifications enable for windows sensors to be activated when nobody is home.

However, because our iPad is always home, the notifications cannot be activated.

Please advise how can i exclude the ipad, or what should i do to make it work.

Why does iOS hide notification settings? Many apps appear to only allow you access to this setting when they're first being installed. If you want to change it after that, apparently the Apple way is to delete the app, wait a day, then reinstall it. How elegant. Who thought this was a good idea? It's not even documented, you have to dig this information out of the internet yourself. Even Apple's own apps will gaslight you into thinking you're somehow losing your mind by asking you if you want to enable notifications, pop up a helpful Settings icon that will open the place where the setting should be, and it's just not there. Just happened on the Weather app for me, but this happens all the time. Why Apple, why?
