How can I update my mac book pro (mid 2014) with High Sierra software?

Software icon does not show in my system preferences and I was not able to find the latest compatible software for my mid 2014 Mac book pro, how can I update it?

A 2014 MacBook Pro can update as far as macOS 11 Big Sur.


The Software Update option does not exist in High Sierra.


You will need to download the update through the Mac App Store.

You will need to verify your apps are all 64 bit, as Big Sur does not run 32 bit apps you no doubt have on High Sierra
