16.6 Update failed, unable to verify update
When I try to update, but always prompt that I cannot verify the update because you are no longer connected to the network

Usually when you see that type of error message, the issue is with the network connection. Are you using a Wi-Fi network which you've successfully updated with before?
If you were connected to a VPN, try without the VPN.
If you have 5G cellular service, you can update with that, instead of Wi-Fi.

We also see that you selected the forum for "iPhone in Business and Education". If your iPhone is owned by work or school, and if you still can't update, you'll want to talk to the IT department or school administrator.
