app not working

So i deleted the instagram app on my iPhone 6s. I went to redownload it and in the app store it said “open” instead of redownload, i click open and nothing happens, i restart my phone and the app is on my phone but the icon is white with lines through it instead of the instagram icon, and nothing loads, when i go to delete it, it says “it will delete app and data, but and documents or data in icloud will be saved, any idea of what i can do to redownload and use instagram?

If you can find the app, its icon will probably look like a white grid of lines with circles.

The app is probably stuck between deleted and not-deleted.

It’s installed enough to not re-install, and deleted enough to not work.

There’s no good way to clear that, AFAIK.

The only way to clear it is with a factory reset.

Back up your iPhone, factory reset, and restore:
