Allowing calls during silent mode

Hello, not long ago there was an option to allow calls to come through while on silent mode if the caller made three attempts in a row. I no longer see that option. Does anyone know if that can still be activated? It seems like the only choice now is to create a list of contacts that you will allow to reach you during silent mode. That defeats the whole purpose. How can we make sure that any one of our important contacts (or for that matter, Police etc.) can reach us during a true emergency without sacrificing the benefits of silent mode?

Hello Fushiafire,

We have a great support article that might help with this. Please take a look at it here: Use Do Not Disturb with Focus on your iPhone or iPad - Apple Support. This section explains where to find those options:

"Change your Do Not Disturb settings

If you don't want to be disturbed at a certain time, you can set a schedule and change other Do Not Disturb features to help you concentrate.

      1.  Go to Settings > Focus.
      2. Tap Do Not Disturb.
      3. You can select allowed or silenced notifications from people and apps, connect your Lock Screen or Home Screen, have this Focus turn on automatically, and add Focus filters."

We hope this helps. Let us know if we can assist with anything else at all. Take care.
