I hear my own voice when using my air pods 2

Speaking with a business associate I could hear an echo of my own voice. He was on Air pods3

iPhone SE, iOS 16

You can try restarting your iPhone to see if that clears up any minor software issues. Additionally you can reset your AirPods. You can learn how here: How to reset your AirPods and AirPods Pro

I may have isolated the problem: seems that this echo effect only happens when speaking with someone who is in a vehicle equipped with Bluetooth but using their air pods pro 3. Rather a specific problem that I do not encounter with any of my other clients. It so happens that several people I work with are using their Teslas as their virtual offices.
