Is the Battery making macbook slow

My macbook is getting slow day by day i got it from my firiend he was using it very fine. I have 60gb space left on it. But the battery is asking for service. Is it the chance that the battery is making it slow or there is any other issue i have done resetting PRAM and SMC

please help

Macbook Air M1 battery wont charge after prolong storage and show Service required message MacBook Air M1 Battery Not Charging – "Service Recommended" Despite Only 2 Cycles I have a MacBook Air M1 that was purchased a while ago but used very rarely—it only has 2 battery charge cycles. Apple recommends replacing the battery when its remaining capacity drops to 80%.

An old degraded battery can cause problems, but slow performance is not likely one of them.

How does it operate when you run it with the charger supplying power?

I suggest you run etrecheck to analyze your system, allow full disk access, and post the entire report here using the Additional Text icon.
