High Sierra 10.13.6 compatible word processor needed that is MS Word document compatible.

I want to edit current version Word documents (created on a different computer) however I have been informed that I cannot download a version of Pages or Words that is compatible with my 2011 MacBook Pro which is running 10.13.6. That is the highest OS allowed on my laptop. Any help?

LibreOffice version 7.4.5 is compatible with macOS 10.13.6 and will edit Word documents. It can be downloaded from https://libreoffice.en.uptodown.com/mac/versions
