The touch ID options are not showing on the system pref panel / I can only see Password fields. I am on MAC STUDIO - VENTURA 13.5

Touch ID worked fine when i first set the Mac

Recently it stopped giving me the option when entering the Mac after a short sleep mode

I went into TOUCH ID & PASSWORD prefs to activate it but the options are not there. I can only see Password.

I have the latest Ventura 13.5 and I have restarted the Mac

Please advise

Thank you

Plug in the Magic Keyboard with the lightning cable and see if they appear. You may have to toggle the keyboard off, then on.

I had a problem where the Touch ID settings were there, but disabled. I had to forget the bluetooth device (keyboard), then add it back. You may need to connect another keyboard before you can disconnect the Magic Keyboard.
