I recently began the account recovery process for my Apple ID. I couldn’t log into my account because my phone number had changed and I could receive the two-factor authentication. I’m currently in the “waiting period” How do I check the status?

I’ve tried that multiple times. There is no p”button to check on the status…when enter Apple ID, it simply walks me through the “account recovery” process again…
