Air Pods Not Charging In Fully Charged Case

My Airpods are not charging in the in it’s case.

The Case is fully charged and the airpods do not charge whatsoever unless the case is plugged in.

Additionally, nearly every time I charge them (with the case plugged in ect) I have to connect them back to my phone, while the charging happens it continues to flash the pop up of the devices wanting me to connect them (they are connected) and while it pops up it goes away nearly the same second, and continues to be like that for idk less than 5 minutes.

it’s annoying.

Hey there joaquin_g,

Those are strange things to occur, and we'd like to help. Let's start with learning more about what's happening regarding charging, along with ruling out some basics:

  1. You mentioned that they're not charging when placed in the case, but if you hold your AirPods case open with both AirPods sitting in the case next to your iPhone, does the little pop-up window show the lightning bolt logo on both AirPods?
  2. If you have a compatible iPhone model, the latest version is iOS 16.6. You can verify this within Settings > General > About. In case you needed it, this link shows how to first back up, then update: Update your iPhone or iPad
  3. Does the same issue occur if you test pairing your AirPods with a different device?

Cheers!
