I have a wavy line on my inbox icon. Cannot access email account.

Either that email account is not correctly set up, or the Mail server is down. Click on that wavy entry and see if it throws a dialog asking you to validate that email account by signing into your email. Once you do that, the wavy line should disappear, and normality returns. Google does this wavy thing to get your attention.

Has the user accidentally " Taken the Account Off Line " ?
