Devanagari font not working in Monterey 12.6.8

I use the Devanagari Unicode font Adishila.ttf for my work. Since I upgraded my Mac from Monterey OS 12.6.7 to 12.6.8, this font no longer displays correctly in Microsoft Word. Specifically, the feature in the font that converts successive characters to the correct combination glyphs seems to be disabled. Other Devanagari fonts work fine, and Adishila also works correctly in TextEdit, Adobe InDesign and Photoshop; just not in Word. (I am using Word version 16.76.) I tried deleting the font and reinstalling a newly downloaded version, but that didn't help. I also tried checking out the font in this website https://www.impallari.com/testing/index-devanagari.php and I didn't see any problems. Does anyone have any idea who I can ask for help or how I can identify where the problem might lie?
