Volume drops randomly

The phone speakers, and only the phone speakers, drop in volume randomly when any kind of audio is playing. The volume is about 20% of max, but the volume is still shown as already at max. So I can’t raise the volume up because it’s already “at max”. And lowering it just lowers it with in its new 20% range. Resetting the app used to fix it but now it no longer does. FULLY resting the phone fixes it, but it could happen again at any time. I usually use blue tooth of some kind to circumvent it but I’d rather fix it if I could but I don’t see anything in settings for it

Ah, the good ol' "My phone's got a mind of its own" saga. Love it.

Alright, snark aside, here's the deal:

1. **Software Update:** The fact that you’re asking implies you haven’t done this yet. For the love of all things digital, update your software. If there's a bug messing with your audio, this might squash it.

2. **Background Apps:** You've got apps running in the background that think they deserve your phone's full attention. Boot 'em out by force-closing apps you're not using. Your phone can't multitask any better than a toddler can.

3. **Check for Interference:** If you usually use Bluetooth, there might be some interference or a pairing issue. Turn Bluetooth off, forget devices, turn it back on, and pair it up again.

4. **Audio Settings:** You said you haven’t found anything in the settings. Did you really look? I mean, really? Go through every nook and cranny of your audio settings to see if something's out of whack. Sometimes there's an obscure setting that only shows up in moonlight or something.

5. **Speaker Health:** Ever think your speakers might be going through their own version of middle-age crisis? They could be worn out or damaged. Test them with different apps and media types to make sure it's not just one rogue app playing tricks on you.

6. **Factory Reset:** You say you've "fully reset" the phone, but do you mean a hard reboot or full-on, back-to-the-crib, factory reset? If you haven't done a factory reset yet, back up your data first and then go for it. If that doesn't work, you've got bigger issues, my friend.

7. **Customer Support:** Yeah, you might actually have to talk to a human being about this. Shocking, I know. See if they can sprinkle some magic customer support dust on the problem.

8. **Repair or Replace**: If all else fails, it might be time to say goodbye. Your phone's speakers might be screaming for retirement. Consult your warranty, or get ready to shell out some dough for repair or replacement.

Good luck dealing with your phone's audio angst.
