IOS 16.6 cannot access data network, it must be a bug.
I have 4 iPhones below:
A: Iphone 11 pro with Koodo, IOS 16.6
B: iPhone 11 pro with Fido recently change to Koodo IOS 16.6
C: iPhone 14 Pro with Fido IOS 16.6
D: Iphone XR spare IOS 16.6
my son using iPhone B, recently change service provider from Fido to Koodo, it suffered phone cannot connect to data network, the SIM card changed twice, SIM card no problem with iPhone A C D , only iPhone B
we spent a lot of time with Koodo tec and apple tec, apple tec indicate we have bad battery with iPhone B. ask to repair the battery.
What I did after the call was:
- ease all the content on iPhone D, then used Koodo sim card, it shows LTE and able to connect to internet (wifi disabled)
- iTune full backup iPhone B, and restore to iPhone D, interesting things happen, iPhone D stop working and shows exactly same message, this iPhone D I changed the battery last year. must not be battery issue. it was working 2 hours ago before the restore, but stop working after restore.
- sim card of iPhone A insert to iPhone B, same error
- sim card of iPhone C insert to iPhone B, working fine.
please do let me know if you have similar issue. Please share you idea how to continue the trouble shooting as Apple tec kept saying this is hardware issue.
