new battery still low

I put a new battery in my air tag, twice! It still shows that the battery is low.

Note:

"CR2032 batteries with bitterant* coatings might not work with AirTag or other battery-powered products, depending on the alignment of the coating in relation to the battery contacts."

Turns out it was not the bitterant. I found a page that told me to load and unload the battery 5times until the chime sounded different. Then it worked fine and it’s now paired to the phone. Something like a forced quit and reload. Sounds nutty but it worked.
