update Apple Watch

We can't tell you why. It does need to be on its charger and charged to at least 50%. You do need to have your iPhone close by the watch to update it. You do need a strong Wifi signal.

Then you have a problem which you need to isolate on your Apple Watch. The most current update has done nothing to battery life on my Apple Watch.
