I was just curious if Apple has addressed this shortcoming in Pages: not being to have both endnotes and footnotes in the same document. I thought I'd edit a book in Pages until I found out if you use endnotes and occasionally have a footnote with an asterisk reference. Amazing to me, if that's still the case.
You can have either footnotes or endnotes but not both per Pages v13.1.

If you can have both in a Word document, then use Word as Pages was never designed to be a Word clone and Apple is not competing with Microsoft in the word processing space.
