Do not disturb while driving

I have selected turn off do not disturb as I DO NOT want it to auto reply. I have auto reply turned off as well, yet it continues to send a message when I’m driving and receive a text. I have tried turning it on and back off, I have tried deleting it. Nothing works to stop it from auto-replying. Please help!!! I have an iPhone 13, not 5s like it states.

Hello Speducator,

Thank you for reaching out to Apple Support Communities.

Do Not Disturb is a separate focus than Driving. Verify it is not switching to driving focus automatically while in the car and that is responding to your messages:

"Turn on the Driving Focus automatically

  1. Go to Settings > Focus, then tap Driving.
  2. Tap While Driving under Turn on Automatically, then select one of these options:
    • Automatically: Driving will be activated based on detected motion.
    • When Connected to Car Bluetooth: Driving will be activated when your iPhone is connected to car Bluetooth devices.
    • Manually: Driving can be activated manually from Control Center.
    • Activate With CarPlay: Driving will be activated automatically when your iPhone is connected to CarPlay."

Additional details can be found here: Use the Driving Focus on your iPhone to concentrate on the road

If the issue persists, can you provide a few more details? Which device and OS version are you currently using? Also, which exact Focus are you using?

Cheers!

Hi, yes, I have it set to activate manually and even tried turning it to others and back to activate manually. I have auto-reply set to “no one” yet it still auto-replies and activates whenever I get a text from someone even though I don’t activate it manually. I even tried deleting the driving focus altogether and that didn’t work either. It is an iPhone 13 and using iOS 16.6.
