Adding Gmail Account to OS BigSur
When using the Google Chrome Browser I am unable to add my Gmail account to Mail via the app itself or through System Preferences.

To add your Gmail account to OS BigSur, you have to change your default browser to Safari if your default browser is set to Google Chrome. You can change this setting under System Preferences ~ General ~ Default Browser
After changing browser to Safari you should be able to add your Gmail account without issues.
