AirPods Pro 2nd gen, touch sensor doesn’t control music or ANC, but does control volume

I just bought the second gen AirPods Pro. Since I first connected them I wasn’t able to control the music. Like pausing, resuming, skipping the track and going back one. In addition to this I cannot control the Noise Cancellation options or Siri. The only thing I can control with the sensor is the volume, this works on both AirPods fine. After reading here online that I should be able to fix it with restarting my devices, or resetting the AirPods, I have tried it multiple times and I still cannot control the music or the longer touches.
