Mobility metrics on Apple watch

It’s recently come to my notice that my Apple Watch does not measure the walking speed when I’m not doing a workout. The ‘source of data’ is always my iPhone. Though my watch does measure the ‘pace’ on a workout, I don’t understand is something wrong with my watch or is it an Apple Watch thing?

Measured by IPhone:

  • Double support time
  • walking step length
  • walking speed

measured by watch:

  • Stair speed up/down

Hi vyom27,

We'd like to assist. This resource offers some good information about mobile metrics. Based on this, they are tracked on your iPhone, which sounds consistent with what you describe: Measure your walking steadiness with your iPhone - Apple Support

Based on this, it sounds like this is normal behavior, but if you'd like to check into it further, use this link to reach Apple directly: Get Support

Best wishes.
