CanoScan Lide 30

I have an old CanoScan LiDE 30 + MacOs Big Sur, I just realised that Canon doesn’t update this drivers anymore. Is there something I can do?

I've not used scanner companies' furnished sofware for years. I only use Image Capture, a part of macOS, for all scanning and find it excellent and more reliable. It also has a very gentle learning curve compared to many software packages shipped with scanners. Please review:

Note that the options offered in Image Capture may vary with scanner make and model. The scanner fiunction in our Epson EcoTank 3850 shows these options in Image Capture:

The "Scan Mode" setting has two options, the one shown plus a Document Feeder option to match the ET-3850's hardware features.

If the old CanoScan won't work under Big Sur using Image Capture, it's probably time to get a newer model.
