ZOOM IN AND OUT PAGE using mouse

How can I zoom in and out..enlage... page using mouse. Not sure which keys exactly but As far I as remember, using the COMMAND + OPITON KEYS AND SCROLLING, but that is not the case. I looked in SYSTEM PREFRENCES + ACCESSABILTIY+ ZOOM, made a few changes, when I tried to zoom it zoomed not only the page but desktop as well...dont want that! Want to simply enlarge the page using mouse.

you can use "smart zoom" to accomplish what you are wanting to do. go into System Settings > Mouse and then, in the "point & click" tab, turn on "smart zoom".

and then you can zoom in and out on the safari (for example) page. then you can place your cursor on a specific spot of the page you want to zoom into, lightly double tap, but NOT double click the mouse and that part of the page zooms in. just please note that there will be a small learning curve until you get used to using it.

Hello jeffg59,

The steps you want to follow can be found at Zoom in and out on Mac - Apple Support. Per that article:

You can zoom in and out by pressing a key on your keyboard and scrolling on your mouse or trackpad.
1. On your Mac, choose Apple menu  > System Settings, click Accessibility  in the sidebar, then click Zoom on the right. (You may need to scroll down.)
2. Turn on “Use scroll gesture with modifier keys to zoom.”
3. Click the “Modifier key for scroll gesture” pop-up menu, then choose a modifier key (Control, Option, or Command).
4. To zoom, press and hold the specified modifier key and scroll using your trackpad or mouse.

That should do what you're looking to achieve! Cheers!
