Zoom options are grayed out under the View menu

The zoom options are grayed out under the View menu and Command +/- does not work. I can zoom by pinching the trackpad but that is not convenient. How do I get the Command keys/menu options to work?

Those options (Zoom) only apply to the Timeline/Storyline. From your screenshot, it doesn't appear as if you have any media in the storyline, therefore, nothing to zoom.

If you're trying to resize the thumbnails in the Titles Browser, I don't believe that is possible. However, mousing over a thumbnail (in any of the Browsers) will "preview" the template in the Viewer.
