airpods case making noise

I am having same issue faced by one of the member posted in the community.

My airpods pro 2nd gen make this sound randomly, when I move them after i didn't touch them for some hours or sometimes even when they're in my pockets. Is it to avoid to lose them? Can i turn this off?

Hi ny_1998,

To help us get a better understanding of the issue, we’d like to ask a few questions.

  1. When did this begin?
  2. Since noticing this issue, have your AirPods been reset? If so, does resetting the AirPods correct the issue temporarily?
  3. Did you recently try to play a sound on your AirPods with Find My?

The above details will help us plan how to proceed.

If your AirPods are playing a sound, it may be related to Find My. "If your AirPods are near any of your Apple devices and connected to Bluetooth, you can play a sound to help you find them."

Please check out this link, which has more information that may be helpful: Find your lost AirPods

Play a sound on your AirPods

If your AirPods are near any of your Apple devices and connected to Bluetooth, you can play a sound to help you find them. With AirPods Pro (2nd generation), you can also play a sound to help find your charging case.

1. Open the Find My app.
2. Select the Devices tab.
3. Choose your AirPods from the list.
4. Tap Play Sound to play a sound that gets louder gradually.
In Find My, you can tap Play Sound to help you find your AirPods

Make sure that your AirPods are not in or on your ears before you play a sound.

Thanks!
