Apple Maps iPhone speaker

When using Apple Maps, my voice directions intermittently switches from the bottom speaker which I can hear to the top speaker which I can’t hear. It seems to have changed with the latest update. It is also happening on my wife’s iPhone. We both have iPhone 13 with the latest updates installed. The volume is turned up to the max but to no avail. We’ve toggled about every setting we can find. It does not happen on Google Maps, but I prefer Apple Maps. Help please.

Apple Maps has no sound At first Apple Maps talked. Then a few days ago it stopped. rather it gave the audibly first step in direction and then went silent until end of trip, when it said you are here.

SOMETIMES Apple Maps Silent Whether or not we are hooked up to CarPlay, SOMETIMES there is a voice for the directions and SOMETIMES there is not. This happens with Apple 13 and 14. The volume is already up and we never change the settings. How can we fix it?
