SOMETIMES Apple Maps Silent

Whether or not we are hooked up to CarPlay, SOMETIMES there is a voice for the directions and SOMETIMES there is not. This happens with Apple 13 and 14. The volume is already up and we never change the settings. How can we fix it?

Apple Maps has no sound At first Apple Maps talked. Then a few days ago it stopped. rather it gave the audibly first step in direction and then went silent until end of trip, when it said you are here.

Spoken directions in Apple maps I can no longer turn off spoken directions, and it is so frustrating. I hate the constant interruptions. Please fix this!

When you are actively navigating, there is an audio icon on the map display. Tap it to change the options for spoken directions.
