I just got an iphone 14 pro and just realized that the Authenticator app needed a special transfer. I haven’t erased and recycled my old phone yet. How do I get my Authenticator to work on my new phone?

That all depends on the app.
Some have export functions … some require a rebuild.
Check w/ the app’s documentation and/or developer.

Rebuilding an authenticator app’s database can be tedious AND quite time-consuming.
For your consideration going forward:
Apple’s built-in Keychain provides the core functionality of 3rd-party authenticator apps. [Generation of Time-Based, One-Time Passwords (TOTP)]
With iCloud it stays sync’d across all of your devices.
It may or may not meet your needs. 👋
FWIW, I learned this lesson - painfully - several years ago when we only had five or six credentials.
Now w/ 30+ creds; “rebuilding from scratch” is — from a practical standpoint — a non-starter.
Haven’t used GA since.
