I am unable to remove the cover for the air tag to change the battery, what do I do next. It is not turning

If you still cannot remove the cover to access the tag's battery, it may be possible that the battery has expanded. This could happen to batteries that are defective.
One method, that has worked for me, is to wear surgical or rubber gloves, to increase the traction between your fingers and the cover while pressing down and turning.
