Hi IamBushiri!

Make sure you are using the Apple Charger provided with your iPhone. It's likely that your phone can overheat if using a third-party charger that is not MFI Certified. Make sure you take off your phone case when charging your phone. This is the charger that is Apple Recommended: 20W USB-C Power Adapter with the USB-C Charge Cable (1 m).

If your phone still overheats, you can schedule a Genius Bar Reservation and Apple Support Options if the issue still persists.

Good luck!

Your iPhone 13 will get warm as it charges. It may even get hot at times depending on ambient conditions and the level of charge applied. All this is normal. If your iPhone gets too hot to operate then it will shut down as a safety precaution. If it has not shut down then it is not overheating and operating / charging normally.

If your iPhone 13 gets too hot to touch then contact 👉 Official Apple Support OR you can always get your iPhone examined at the Apple Store 👉 Genius Bar Reservation and Apple Support Options or at an Authorized Service Center for further diagnosis and evaluation.
