Iphone 12 mini airdrop not working

I’ve tried all the usual advice: resetting network, ensuring contact info, checking app permission, hotspot off , etc but can’t find a way to send photos to my sons phone ( or others)-even when they are sitting next to me. I can send it to my ipad but i suspect that is because it has the same apple ID . Anyone able to help with new suggestions ? Thanks in advance

iPhone 14 pro airdrop not working My father has an iPhone 14 pro. I am able to airdrop him photos from my 2020 SE. But he cannot send me air drop or mail attachment drop. I have tried every setting- contact only, everyone and everyone for 10 minutes. Nothing works at all. I also updated to IOS 16.6.1. Tried all the above again without a different result. I saw a similar thread from Oct ‘22 and wanted to know if the issue was ever fixed. My understanding is my dad’s phone is under a year old and is still under warranty. Any suggestions are appreciated.

iPhone 14 Pro Airdrop broken - Workaround for now Airdrop no longer works between contacts with iPhone 14 Pro with IOS 16.0.3. Neither of us can use Airdrop to send photo images to each other as we have in the past with my old iPhone 13 Pro and her old iPhone 12. Here is what I found. We are both setup as contacts to each other but AirDrop simply does not work. I then enabled Airdrop for Everyone on both iPhones. After enabling this, I go into my photos, select a photo and instead of Airdrop directly to her, I select the AirDrop icon. And when I do this, I see HER as a contact and I also see "Mary's iPhone" but NOT as a contact. When I select the generic "Mary's iPhone" I can send the images (ignore the declined in the photo). Somehow IOS has lost the association between my wife as a contact as opposed to a generic other person. See photo @Apple, please fix this because we don't want to keep Airdrop enabled for Everyone.

iOS 15.6.1 caused airdrop to stop working. I updated the iOS on my iPhone 13 and iPad Pro 12.9 inch yesterday and now I can’t airdrop photos between the two. Both devices recognize the other, but when I tap the device that I want to send to it just flashes “Waiting” under the intended device name.

Thanks-all are set correctly -when i try to send the pic, it picks up the right person, but when i send it , it just says’waiting’ but doesn’t deliver. However it does send to the person from the iPad 🤔
