i forgot my phone password and I tried again and again and now it says iPhone unavailable without a timer which means it permanently unavailable my phone isn’t connected to WiFi and it’s a iPhone 7 Plus I have no Mac book :(

No matter which method you use (methods listed above in the previous responses), you lose data in the process. You must have a backup file created on a computer or on iCloud before the iPhone fell in the state of “unavailable”. You can then recover the data from that backup file. If you do not have a backup, then you will have lost the data permanently.

It was in “Unavailable” state with no option to enter the passcode and no timer.
You connect the phone to the Macbook in “Recovery” mode, no passcode required.
The “Recovery” mode gives you options:
The second option possible ONLY is your iOS version is outdated (i.e. the update is possible).

That is correct! No passcode - no way to get to the data, only erase.
Good, that Apple still allows some way of restoring, for example, a lost and found phone (which was not erased).
The assumption here is that iPhone is already in the satay of “unavailable”. Once this happens and you attempt to update the iPhone, then there will be a passcode entry required on the iPhone to allow the MacBook to connect. Since the iPhone is “Unavailable” then there is no option to enter the passcode. The passcode, then must be reset using the reset method.
In your case, the iPhone was probably not in the “unavailable” state.

Understood, but in the end if one still does not remember the passcode (even though more time may be allotted), then the passcode must be reset and the data will be lost. I understand what you are stating as well.

I was listening to music (via Apple Music) on my airpods with my phone in my pocket and all of a sudden the music stops and I get the "iPhone unavailable" message with no timer. I had not been trying to use my passcode at all. WTF?
