It happened randomly without me updating anything on my phone. I need to connect my phone to the usb port for the carplay to work and one day it just stopped popping up. I have restarted my phone and checked everything.

If your iPhone isn't detected by CarPlay, make sure CarPlay isn't restricted. Go to Settings > Screen Time > Content & Privacy Restrictions, tap Allowed Apps and make sure CarPlay is enabled. Go to Settings > General > CarPlay, tap your car and then tap Forget This Car. Then set up CarPlay again.

I have tried everything and my apple car play still wont work for my phone. My boyfriends phone works perfectly but mine does not.
