iPad iMessage badge

On iPad iMessage shows 1 unread message when there are none. Someone suggested signing out of iMessages. This does work. You can also shut down and restart the iPad to remove the nonfunctional icon. These fixes are band aids not permanent fixes. Apple needs to correct this. Come on Apple fix your software.
