Macbook freezing during macOS reinstall

Recently, I wiped my entire MacBook Pro (2020) and I now have to reinstall macOS Monterey through Recovery. My problem is that about 2/3 through the download, everything freezes and I eventually have to restart from the beginning. Any tips would be helpful asap

Troubleshooting a Stalling macOS Reinstall:

A. Learn from This:

First off, learn from this, knowing to always backup your Mac every so often, so that you a have something to restore your Mac from, for instances such as this.

B. Update Using Ethernet:

WiFi may be the issue here. So, use a local connection (Mac to ethernet). this would be the adapter to use: Belkin USB-C to Gigabit Ethernet Adapter - Apple. If you get the same error, the model is likely just not compatible.

C. Re-Mount the Drive:

Boot into Recovery Mode (Intel or Silicon) . Then, using Disk Utility, see if the Hard Drive is seem. If it is, then see if you need to click the “Mount’ button for it. Try rebooting once more. If of no success, then click unmount button, and then the mount button. Try rebooting once more.
