I followed the steps to make sure I was connected to iCloud. My default email is yahoo account.
search on iCloud, search through email account, the settings say that all notes are backed up through iCloud and I still can’t find my notes which contain some really really important information.
please help!!!

If it’s yahoo notes, I’m not sure how to get it back to your notes app but you may be able to access it through your email by logging into yahoo Mail through your browser and viewing the left side of your screen. On the left, under “inbox,” you should see an option that says “notes.” If it’s not there and you have a “my folders” section, scroll down until you see “notes.” It should be listed alphabetically. Hope this helps. Also, this can’t be a IOS 16.6… update issue since not everyone had updated their phones when this happened to them. Good luck!
This is a recently reported problem with a yahoo account. Go on line and access your email account and see if the notes are still there. I have read other posts that the notes are available online.
It’s a Yahoo issue per Apple Support . Contact Yahoo support , it’s some type of outage . But they can be accessed from the yahoo webmail or yahoo app in the mean time
I just checked my notes app and it’s all back where it should be. I guess it was just a glitch.

Notes disappeared after ios 16.6.1 update. Tried all suggestions, my more than 250 notes can’t be found.
