Mx472 scanner not working

My mx472 canon printer will print but won’t scan. Error message 15,157,1

I have iMac 24inch with Ventura 13.5.2


iMac 27″ 5K, OS X 10.11

Printers/scanners are typically the first causality in upgrading any OS.

If it is listed as AirPrint printer, delete the existing printer in

> System Settings> Printers & Scanners, and add it again, select AirPrint.

“manufactures have drivers on their European websites for later systems versions than they do for the US. You might try perusing the European sites for the printer's manufacture to see if they have a later driver”—according to Old Toad.

How is your printer connected?


Is the ICA Driver Ver. 5.0.0 (Mac) misd-mac-ijscanner14s-5_0_0-ea21_3.dmg installed?

Have you tried scanning via Apple's Image Capture?

The Canon MX472 supports AirPrint printing.
