Can't tweet an iPad screenshot

Every morning I like to read the digital version of my home country newspaper. I often take screenshots and tweet them from the ordinary share button on the OS. However, after I upgraded to an iPad mini 6, NO screenshots (regardless of the app or screen being screenshot) can be successfully tweeted like that. The progress bar of the tweet almost gets to the end, but I get a "Post failed to send - Your post couldn't be sent right now and has been saved as a draft. Please try agian later." The draft tweets are indeed saved as drafts on the X/Twitter app and I can just hit post and then, they'll go through. But it's kinda of a pain, not to say the opposite of what the share tool is supposed to do if I have to switch the app to Twitter, open "drafts" and then hit post every single time I just want to share a screenshot. Also, this doesn't happen when sharing to other apps, like Facebook, for example.

Since it began when I moved on to a new device, I'm not sure where the issue is. Of course I've already deleted and redownloaded the X/Twitter app, logged out and back in to it. And my last attempt was to restore the entire iPad from a backup. None were successfull. I'm hoping iPadOS17 fixes that, but I couldn't find anyone else with the same issue. What gives?
